The Tupelo Golden Wave walloped the visiting Oxford Chargers football team by a count of 35-0 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Tupelo upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Golden Wave travel to Starkville (Starkville, MS) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region 2 outing on Friday, October 7. The Yellowjackets go into the outing with a record of 4-2. Starkville lost 35-28 in their recent league outing against Clinton (Clinton, MS)

With the loss, Oxford moves to 3-2 on the season. The Chargers host Germantown (Madison, MS) to confront the Mavericks in a 6A Region 2 outing on Friday, October 7. The Mavericks go into the outing with a record of 3-3. Germantown won 37-15 in their recent league outing against Murrah (Jackson, MS)
