The Dragons now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Amanda Elzy for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 8. Palmer will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 13-6 league win over Edwards (Ruleville, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Mustangs encounter the Coahoma County Red Panthers (Clarksdale, MS) in a 2A Region 3 contest, on Friday, October 7. Strayhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Red Panthers go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 53-20 league loss to North Side (Shelby, MS).
