The Reed-Custer Comets football squad scored 50 points and limited the visiting Wilmington Wildcats to 5 in the Comets league win on Friday.

The Comets now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Streator for a Illinois Central Eight battle on Friday, October 7. Reed-Custer will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 53-42 league loss to Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 7. Wilmington will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Lions go into the battle with a 3-3 record after their 36-26 league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL).
