In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Penobscot Valley Howlers soccer squad scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Mattanawcook Lynx.
The Howlers (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME). The Patriots come into the Class D - North battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Bangor Christian was overwhelmed by Greenville (Greenville, ME), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Lynx (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Schenck (East Millinocket, ME). The Wolverines come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record.
