The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons softball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Northside Patriots to 1 in the Gryphons non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Academy for Classical Education improves its record to 24-2 on the year. The Gryphons travel to West Hall (Oakwood, GA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league game on Friday, September 30. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 7-11. West Hall lost 10-5 in their recent league game against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA)

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the North Gwinnett Bulldogs (Suwanee, GA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, October 1. Northside will attempt to improve on its 16-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 19-5 record after their 15-2 league win over Norcross (Norcross, GA).
