The Southwestern Spartans volleyball team (Shelbyville, IN), was dropped 3-1 in Friday's league challenge with the host Waldron Mohawks (Waldron, IN)

The Mohawks (11-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Connersville (Connersville, IN). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 12-12 record. In their last challenge, Connersville defeated Monroe Central (Parker City, IN), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the North Decatur Chargers (Greensburg, IN) in a Mid-Hoosier challenge, on Monday, October 3. Southwestern will attempt to move on its 7-15 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 22-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Batesville (Batesville, IN).
