In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Griswold/Wheeler Wolverines football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Bacon Academy Bobcats.
In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Weaver Beavers (Hartford, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut III match, on Friday, October 13. Griswold/Wheeler will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Beavers enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 41-0 non-league loss to New London (New London, CT).
The Bobcats (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Whippets enter the Eastern Connecticut II match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Windham thwarted Ledyard (Ledyard, CT), 21-7, in a league match.
