In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Miyamura Patriots football squad scored a big 56-6 victory over the Del Norte Knights.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 1/5 match, on Friday, October 13. Miyamura will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 44-0 non-league loss to Roswell (Roswell, NM).

The Knights (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Valley (Albuquerque, NM). The Vikings enter the 5A District 2/6 match with a 3-3 record.
