The Edison Spartans (Elmira Heights, NY) football defeated the host Newfield Trojans (Newfield, NY), 74-48 in Saturday's league bout.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Bishop Grimes Cobras (East Syracuse, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 6. Edison will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Cobras enter the bout with a 3-1 record after their 77-34 league loss to Morrisville-Eaton (Morrisville, NY).
The Trojans (0-4) will now prepare for their bout against Charles O. Dickerson (Trumansburg, NY). The Blue Raiders enter the Section 4 8-Man B (8 Man) bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Charles O. Dickerson lost by Moravia (Moravia, NY), 56-29, in a league bout.
