The Saranac Lake Red Storm football team (Saranac Lake, NY), was beaten 32-22 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Franklin Academy Huskies (Malone, NY)

The Huskies (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Potsdam (Potsdam, NY). The Sandstoners come into the Section 10 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Potsdam was beaten by Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY), 42-8, in a league challenge.

The Red Storm now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Moriah for a Section 7 challenge on Friday, October 6. Saranac Lake will meet a Vikings team coming off a 50-6 league win over Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 3-1.
