In Saturday's league game, the Ridge Point Panthers (Missouri City, TX) football team knocked off the visiting George Ranch Longhorns (Richmond, TX), by a final score of 55-27.

The Panthers (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, TX). The Knights come into the 6A Region III District 20 game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Fort Bend Elkins was dropped by Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX), 21-7, in a league game.

The Longhorns now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Bend Bush for a 6A Region III District 20 game on Friday, October 6. George Ranch will battle a Broncos team coming off a 37-27 league loss to Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 0-5.
