The Lake Forest Spartans football team (Felton, DE), was beaten 38-30 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Howard Wildcats (Wilmington, DE)

The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilmington Friends (Wilmington, DE). The Quakers come into the 2A District 2 challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Wilmington Friends achieved victory over Brandywine (Wilmington, DE), 38-35, in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sussex Tech for a 2A District 3 challenge on Friday, October 6. Lake Forest will meet a Ravens team coming off a 34-7 non-league loss to Odessa (Townsend, DE). The Ravens record now stands at 3-1.
