In Saturday's non-league game, the Springfield Cosmos (Springfield, VT) football team tipped the visiting Mt. Abraham Eagles (Bristol, VT), by a score of 23-20.
The Cosmos (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Brattleboro (Brattleboro, VT). The Bears come into the non-league game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Brattleboro was tipped by Hartford (White River Junction, VT), 21-0, in a league game.
The Eagles now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Missisquoi Valley for a League 4 game on Saturday, October 7. Mt. Abraham will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 39-0 non-league loss to Poultney (Poultney, VT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 0-5.
