In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Prospect Knights football squad scored a close 14-12 victory over the Hersey Huskies.
The Knights (6-0) will now prepare for their game against Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL). The Grenadiers come into the non-league game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Elk Grove was tipped by Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL), 28-0, in a non-league game.
The Huskies now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rolling Meadows for a game on Saturday, October 7. Hersey will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 40-12 league win over Wheeling (Wheeling, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.
