In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Brookfield Bobcats soccer squad scored a close 6-1 win over the Oxford Wolverines.
The Bobcats (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Weston (Weston, CT). The Trojans go into the Southwest - Patriot battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Weston nipped Immaculate (Danbury, CT), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Wolverines (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Kennedy (Waterbury, CT). The Eagles go into the Naugatuck Valley battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Kennedy was overwhelmed by Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT), 4-2, in a league battle.
