In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Buckeye Bucks.
The Royals (10-3) will now prepare for their battle against Hawken (Gates Mills, OH). The Hawks come into the non-league test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Hawken was tipped by University School (Hunting Valley, OH), 4-0, in a non-league test.
With the loss, Buckeye drops to 7-5 on the season. The Bucks host Fairview (Fairview Park, OH) to encounter the Warriors in a Great Lakes test on Wednesday, October 4. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 7-5. Fairview won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Garfield Heights (Garfield Heights, OH)
