The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Marion Wildcats (Marion, IL) and the visiting Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), saw Marion's soccer squad beat Salem by a margin of 5-1.

The Wildcats now sport a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Carbondale for a South Seven test on Tuesday, October 3. Marion will meet a Terriers squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Terriers record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Salem drops to 7-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Newton (Newton, IL) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, October 5. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 10-5.
