In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting St. Joseph Central Irish soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Nitro Wildcats.
The Irish (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Big Blacks go into the battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Point Pleasant was nudged by Grafton (Grafton, WV), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Wildcats (12-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Vikings go into the non-league battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Ripley was nudged by Princeton (Princeton, WV), 3-0, in a league battle.
