The Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK) softball nipped the visiting Norman North Timberwolves (Norman, OK), 3-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Racers (30-3) will now prepare for their bout against Dale (Dale, OK). The Pirates go into the non-league bout with a 37-4 record. In their last bout, Dale held off Morrison (Morrison, OK), 10-0, in a non-league bout.
The Timberwolves now possess a 17-9 record. They play next when they travel to Edmond North for a non-league bout on Monday, October 2. Norman North will confront a Huskies squad coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to Edmond Santa Fe (Edmond, OK). The Huskies record now stands at 15-20.
