In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Albia Blue Demons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Lynnville-Sully Hawks.
The Blue Demons (16-9) will now prepare for their battle against Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Comets come into the non-league battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Cardinal went down by Knoxville (Knoxville, IA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Hawks encounter the Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar battle, on Monday, October 2. Lynnville-Sully will attempt to move on its 12-9 season record. The Savages come into the battle with a 10-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Montezuma (Montezuma, IA).
