The Calera Eagles volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Parker Thundering Herd to 0 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now have a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benjamin Russell for a 6A Area 5 game on Wednesday, October 4. Calera will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Chilton County (Clanton, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-14.
The Thundering Herd (13-12) will now prepare for their game against Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL). The Stampede enter the 6A Area 6 game with a 10-15 record. In their last game, Paul W. Bryant gained a win over Huffman (Birmingham, AL), 3-1, in a non-league game.
