The Eagles (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL). The Wildcats enter the 6A Area 5 challenge with a 3-14 record. In their last challenge, Benjamin Russell was dropped by Chilton County (Clanton, AL), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Victory Christian Lions (Pell City, AL) in a 1A Area 10 challenge, on Monday, October 2. Sumiton Christian will attempt to move on its 18-9 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Appalachian (Oneonta, AL).
