In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Saydel Eagles.

The Tigerhawks (7-12) will now prepare for their battle against Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 19-7 record. In their last battle, Pleasantville nudged Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) in a Heart of Iowa battle, on Saturday, September 30. Saydel will attempt to advance on its 0-13 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 8-11 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Cardinal (Eldon, IA).
