The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA) and the host Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA), saw Destrehan's volleyball squad beat Highland Baptist Christian by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Destrehan upgrades its record to 16-7 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Barbe (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Barbe won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA)

The Bears now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 3. Highland Baptist Christian will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-13.
