In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Gulf Coast Sharks volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Gateway Eagles.
The Sharks (14-5) will now prepare for their battle against First Baptist Academy (Naples, FL). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, First Baptist Academy achieved victory over Canterbury (Fort Myers, FL), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Eagles clash with the Island Coast Gators (Cape Coral, FL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 3. Gateway will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Gators come into the battle with a 3-9 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Dunbar (Fort Myers, FL).
