Next up, the Rams face the Providence Christian Eagles (Dothan, AL) in a 5A Area 3 contest, on Monday, October 2. Headland will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY).

With the loss, New Brockton moves to 8-12 on the year. The Gamecocks host Opp (Opp, AL) to face the Bobcats in a 3A Area 3 contest on Thursday, October 5. The Bobcats go into the contest with a record of 19-7. Opp won 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Andalusia (Andalusia, AL)
