The Midland Trail Patriots volleyball team (Hico, WV), was dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV)

The Mavericks (24-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Midland Trail will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Gilmer County (Glenville, WV).
