Muskogee Roughers (Muskogee, OK) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Bixby Spartans (Bixby, OK), 28-12 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Muskogee improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Roughers host Sapulpa (Sapulpa, OK) to play the Chieftains in a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Chieftains go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Spartans now have a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Jenks for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 1. Bixby will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 18-7 non-league loss to Owasso (Owasso, OK). The Trojans record now stands at 6-2.
