Ohio High School Soccer - Elyria knocks off Wellington

The Elyria Pioneers soccer squad scored 9 points and held the host Wellington Dukes to 1 in the Pioneers non-league victory on Monday.

The Pioneers now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Midview for a Southwestern bout on Wednesday, October 2. Elyria will play a Middies squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Avon (Avon, OH). The Middies record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Wellington moves to 0-9 on the year. The Dukes travel to Firelands (Oberlin, OH) to play the Falcons in a Lorain County 8 bout on Wednesday, October 2. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Firelands won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Holy Name (Parma Heights, OH)
