In Monday's non-league outing, the host Springfield Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Piqua Indians.

The Wildcats (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Fairmont (Kettering, OH). The Firebirds go into the Greater Western Ohio outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, Fairmont was edged by Oakwood (Dayton, OH), 2-1, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Indians play the Greenville Green Wave (Greenville, OH) in a Miami Valley League - Valley outing, on Tuesday, October 1. Piqua will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Green Wave go into the outing with a 0-8 record after their 7-0 league loss to Tippecanoe (Tipp City, OH).
