In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Lynden Lions volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Mt. Baker Mountaineers.

The Lions (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Borderites come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Blaine lost by Meridian (Bellingham, WA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers play the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 3. Mt. Baker will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA).
