In Monday's non-league outing, the host Proviso East Pirates soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Proviso West Panthers.
The Pirates (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles go into the West Suburban - Gold outing with a 11-1 record. In their last outing, Leyden got by Lake Park (Roselle, IL), 6-2, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Panthers confront the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver outing, on Tuesday, October 1. Proviso West will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 6-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Naperville Central (Naperville, IL).
