In Monday's non-league match, the host Fayette Falcons softball team scored a tight 8-7 win over the Northeast Bearcats.
The Falcons (10-7) will now prepare for their match against Paris (Paris, MO). The Coyotes come into the non-league match with a 17-5 record. In their last match, Paris nipped Madison (Madison, MO), 19-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bearcats confront the Moberly Spartans (Moberly, MO) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 1. Northeast will attempt to better on its 14-3 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 7-14 record after their 20-11 non-league win over Hannibal (Hannibal, MO).
