In Tuesday's non-league bout, the Granby Memorial Bears (Granby, CT) volleyball team held off the visiting Avon Falcons (Avon, CT), by a margin of 2-1.
The Bears now possess a 1-0 record.
With the loss, Avon drops to 6-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Simsbury (Simsbury, CT) to clash with the Trojans in a bout on Friday, October 3. The Trojans enter the contest with a record of 0-0.
