Bartow Yellow Jackets (Bartow, FL) boosters were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellow Jackets (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Gibson (Lakeland, FL). The Braves enter the challenge with a 1-13 record. In their last challenge, Lake Gibson beat All Saints' Academy (Winter Haven, FL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Thunder meet the Winter Haven Christian Warriors (Winter Haven, FL) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 7. Lake Region will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 12-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Oasis Christian (Winter Haven, FL).
