Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Shaker Heights Red Raiders (Shaker Heights, OH), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals (16-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Joseph Academy (Cleveland, OH). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record.

The Red Raiders now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brunswick for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. Shaker Heights will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-5.
