In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Orono Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Chaska Hawks.
The Spartans (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against St. Cloud Tech (St. Cloud, MN). The Tigers come into the non-league test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, St. Cloud Tech edged Fergus Falls (Fergus Falls, MN), 6-1, in a non-league test.
The Hawks now have a 3-10 record. They take the field next when they host Robbinsdale Cooper for a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. Chaska will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Richfield (Richfield, MN). The Hawks record now stands at 2-9.
