Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) fans went home in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad prevail over the visiting Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors (Indian Trail, NC), 6-2 in a league outing.

The Spartans (11-2) will now prepare for their outing against Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC). The Indians go into the NCISAA Metrolina outing with a 6-5 record.

Next up, the Warriors play the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, October 6. Metrolina Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record.
