The Shawnee Mission West Vikings (Shawnee Mission, KS) soccer nipped the host Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars (Shawnee Mission, KS), 1-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shawnee Mission South for a Sunflower contest on Thursday, October 2. Shawnee Mission West will battle a Raiders team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS). The Raiders record now stands at 3-3.
The Cougars (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Olathe North (Olathe, KS). The Eagles enter the Sunflower contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Olathe North was nipped by Mill Valley (Shawnee, KS), 1-0, in a league contest.
