South Dakota High School Volleyball - Garretson can't hold off Alcester-Hudson

September 30, 2025: Alcester, SD 57001

In Tuesday's non-league match, the Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Garretson Blue Dragons (Garretson, SD), by a count of 3-2.

In their next game, the Cubs encounter the Parker/Marion Pheasants (Parker, SD) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 2. Alcester-Hudson will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Pheasants go into the battle with a 12-11 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Centerville (Centerville, SD).

The Blue Dragons now have a 2-14 record. They take the field next when they host Elkton/Lake Benton for a non-league contest on Monday, October 6. Garretson will meet a Elks team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Arlington (Arlington, SD). The Elks record now stands at 6-10.
