Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Buena Vista Longhorns (Imperial, TX) and the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), observed Buena Vista's volleyball team top Big Spring by a count of 3-1.

The Longhorns (15-11) will now prepare for their contest against Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX). The Cowboys enter the contest with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Grandfalls-Royalty dropped by Rankin (Rankin, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Steers now own a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Estacado for a 4A Region I District 5 battle on Saturday, October 4. Big Spring will encounter a Matadors squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Levelland (Levelland, TX). The Matadors record now stands at 6-18.
