The Red Devils go into the game with a 11-14 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV).

With the loss, Boyd County drops to 7-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Raceland (Raceland, KY) to play the Rams in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 2. The Rams come into the outing with a record of 10-15. Raceland lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Greenup County (Greenup, KY)
