Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN) and the visiting Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN), observed Muncie Central's volleyball team top Connersville by a count of 3-1.

The Bearcats (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Muncie Burris (Muncie, IN). The Owls enter the non-league battle with a 17-4 record. In their last battle, Muncie Burris achieved victory over New Castle (New Castle, IN), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Palestine for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 2. Connersville will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Triton Central (Fairland, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 19-3.
