Ohio High School Volleyball - Federal Hocking nudged by Wellston

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Wellston Golden Rockets volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Federal Hocking Lancers.

The Golden Rockets (2-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Vinton County (McArthur, OH). The Vikings come into the Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Vinton County edged River Valley (Bidwell, OH), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Hocking test, on Thursday, October 2. Federal Hocking will attempt to advance on its 9-9 season record. The Tornadoes go into the test with a 14-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Marietta (Marietta, OH).
