Illinois High School Volleyball - Riverton over Illini Central

The Riverton Hawks volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Illini Central Cougars to 0 in the Hawks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now have a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to New Berlin for a Sangamo outing on Thursday, October 2. Riverton will play a Pretzels team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Pretzels record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Illini Central moves to 3-17 on the season. The Cougars host Athens (Athens, IL) to confront the Warriors in a Tomahawk game on Thursday, October 2. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 19-4. Athens won 2-0 in their recent league game against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL)
