In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Knott County Central Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Johnson Central Golden Eagles.
The Patriots (22-2) will now prepare for their challenge against June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY). The Crusaders come into the District 53 test with a 7-13 record.
The Golden Eagles now own a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pike County Central for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 1. Johnson Central will face a Hawks squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY). The Hawks record now stands at 11-12.
