Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) and the visiting St. Ambrose Academy Guardians (Madison, WI), observed Mineral Point's volleyball team hold off St. Ambrose Academy by a tally of 3-2.

The Pointers (24-3) will now prepare for their test against Fennimore (Fennimore, WI). The Golden Eagles go into the Southwest Wisconsin Activities test with a 23-4 record. In their last test, Fennimore tipped Wisconsin Heights (Mazomanie, WI), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Guardians now own a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Madison Country Day for a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. St. Ambrose Academy will encounter a squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Deerfield (Deerfield, WI). The record now stands at 3-6.
