Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Utica Redskins (Utica, OH) and the visiting Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH), observed Utica's volleyball team top Mt. Vernon by a count of 3-1.

The Redskins (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Newark Catholic (Newark, OH). The Green Wave enter the Licking County contest with a 17-0 record. In their last contest, Newark Catholic notched a victory over Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Zanesville for a Licking County battle on Thursday, October 2. Mt. Vernon will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Northridge (Johnstown, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-18.
