The crowd at Monday's non-league test between the Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) and the visiting Bishop Rosecrans Bishops (Zanesville, OH), saw Weir's soccer squad triumph over Bishop Rosecrans by a count of 6-1.
The Red Riders now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Beaver for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 5. Weir will meet a Beavers squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH). The Beavers record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Bishop Rosecrans drops to 5-2 on the season. The Bishops host Fairfield Union (Lancaster, OH) to meet the Falcons in a Mid-State - Buckeye test on Monday, September 11. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 7-1.
