The Knights now possess a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Wheeling Central Catholic for a Ohio Valley Athletic Conference bout on Thursday, September 5. Tyler will play a Maroon Knights squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Edison (Richmond, OH). The Maroon Knights record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Liberty moves to 0-2 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to Elkins (Elkins, WV) to play the Tigers in a Big Ten bout on Tuesday, September 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-0.
